I love history and culture, which is why I teach social studies. I attempt to bring history alive in the classroom for my students. I use many interactive lessons, appealing to all nine learning styles in my classroom including; linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, and existentialist. I look forward to teaching and learning this school year.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Georgia State University in 2001 and my Masters of Education in Middle Grades Social Studies from Brenau University in 2009. I have taught in Gwinnett County Public Schools and in Fulton County Public Schools. I have two children, my Siberian Huskies. My female's name is Denali, after Denali National Park in Alaska. She is definitely wild and untamed like her namesake. My male's name is Dakota. He is a new addition to my family.
